Yogi Berra

I am Yogi Berra. I am famous for being a catcher, baseball coach and manager. I was born May 12, 1925 in St.Louis, Missouri.  I came from a family of athletes. I got my nickname from a childhood friend. I played for the New York Yankees as a catcher. I got married to Carmen Short in 1949 and had three sons, Larry, Tim, and Dale. As a catcher, I set many records.  I was MVP 3 times, played in 14 World Series, and played in 15 All-Star games. I was one of the highest paid players. After playing, I became a coach and manager for the Yankees, the NY Mets and the Houston Astros.  I was also a successful businessman, appeared in movies, on television, and  wrote many books. I died in my sleep at the age of 90. Remember Yogi Berra as a great catcher and hitter. I could hit anything in range and I hardly ever struck out.
