Nelle Peters

Hello my name is Nelle E. Peters. I'm famous for  being an architect. I was born in 1884 on December 11 in Kansas City, Missouri. I had 1 sister and 2 brothers growing up. Since I like math and art I decided I would become an architect. I went to Buena Vista College in Storm Lake, Iowa. Around 1903 my persistence in my career paid off  when Frank Colby and Eisen Trout hired me as an architect. In 1911 I married William H Peters, but later we divorced. Later on I started my own business and To see if it would take off.  It did and I charged 15 dollars a building. Then I became Kansas City’s leading architect. I designed almost 1000 buildings in Kansas City.  Some of my well known buildings are on Literary Block. Each building was named after a famous writer.  I died at the age of 89. When you think about me think about all my buildings. Some are still standing in Kansas City today.
