Laura Ingalls Wilder

Hi! I am Laura Ingalls Wilder I was famous for writing books. I was born in Wisconsin on February 7, 1867. When I was little we used to move a lot. I had a dog named, Jack who always played with me and he would also guard us when my Pa was gone. I became a teacher until I married Almanzo Wilder. We had a daughter, Rose. I moved to Mansfield, Missouri and lived at Rocky Ridge Farm with my husband Almanzo and daughter Rose. My daughter convinced me to write the stories of my life so I wrote the Little House Series.  I received five Newbery Honor Awards. The last book I wrote was The First Four Years. I died on February 10,1957 at the age of 90. If you would like to learn more about my life please read my Little House books.
